The theme of exhibition is Alasukan ocean.
You will be able to enjoy a variety of the art works, dolphin, humpback whale, seal, and more.
Yakushiji is known not only as an artist but also
as one of the project members for making an artificial caudal fin for a dolphin.
He will exhibit his art pieces as well as the pictures related to the
caudal fin project at the show.

The project started for Fuji, a dolphin, who lost the tail fin by a disease. It was the first project in the world for the dolphin's prosthetic tail fin. Kazuhiko YAKUSHIJI participated in this project with Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Bridgestone and the prosthetic tail fin was completed after three years. The lecture will be about the episodes of the making of the prosthetic tail fin, the days of trials and errors and the activities as an artist.
With the collaboration of Fumio KATO, a marine photographer, and Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, the photos of Fuji and the prosthetic tail fin will be exhibited.

This is an exhibition of the sculptures of a model after Fuji and SHIZUKU, drops of the ocean, such as dolphins and whales.
The sculptures of dolphins and whales created by YAKUSHIJI are expressed caring about delicate faces and details. The beautiful works like drops of the ocean will give you feeling like comfort in the bosom of motherhood of the ocean.
